Cookies
The short version: SkinCompare sets no cookies, so there is nothing to configure and no banner to dismiss.
Why there is no cookie banner
Cookie banners exist to ask consent for tracking. We do not track you: no analytics cookies, no marketing cookies, no fingerprinting. Since we set no cookies at all, EU law does not require a banner, and we would rather give you the page you came for.
If that ever changes, this page becomes a real settings panel and nothing optional will be switched on without your consent.
What we use instead
Features that need to remember something, like your saved products and your comparison tray, use your browser's local storage. That data stays on your device: it is never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it completely.
Local storage used this way is strictly functional, which is why it does not require a consent prompt.
What happens when you click through to a shop
When you follow a price to a retailer, you land on that retailer's website, and their own cookies and privacy policy apply from that point on. If the link is an affiliate link, the network that attributes the referral (for example Awin) may set cookies on the retailer's side so the shop knows the visit came from us.
That attribution happens outside SkinCompare. Our own pages remain cookie-free either way.
